Tell us more about the functions
![]() | One screen / One action: All playback function buttons are put together on one screen, allowing you to access each function with a single action. |
![]() | Pause Per Track: Playback automatically stops at the end of a track playback, then set the next track and stay in pause. No need to tap the button. Tap Play button to start the next track. |
![]() | Repeat: The same track is selected instead of the next track at completion of the track. With being Pause Per Track on, turning Repeat off for live performance, but turning Repeat on for practice is an example of these functions. |
![]() | Fade to stop: Gradually the volume is lowered and playback stops. This is effective when you want to stop a song in the middle during a live performance. |
![]() | Playback bar: The playback position is visually displayed. Just slide it to the desired position. The current time at the playback bar position and the playback time of the song are also displayed. |
![]() | Partial Playback (A-B repeat): You can use Playback bar or Fast Rewind / Fast Forward to move to the point you want to start and the point you want to return, and just tap a respective button to specify it. This setting will be memorized, so you can restart with the same settings the next time you launch the app. |
![]() | Setlist: You can create your own set list and freely set which tracks to play in which order. The total time is automatically calculated, making it convenient for time planning during live performances. You can create as many setlists as your memory allows and give each one a name. |
![]() | Playback Speed change: The speed can be changed from 1/2 to 2x speed and speed selection employ practical intervals. |
![]() | Playback Pitch change: It can be set in semitone increments of one octave up or down. |
![]() | Volume change: You can also change the volume from the screen, so you don't have to worry about operating volume buttons on the side of the device. |
![]() | In-app Manual: The app has a built-in manual, so it's convenient even in places where there's no Wi-Fi or internet connection. |
Recommended usage
![]() | Using Setlist: ・You can easily select the songs to perform and consider the song order according to the time available for the live performance. ・If you turn on Pause Per Track function, you can start MCing between songs without any button operations even after the performance is finished, and preparations for the next song are automatically set. Just tap Play button and you can start the next performance. ・When preparing for a live show of cover songs, you can use Setlist to consider the time available for your performance, and/or to personally practice them. |
![]() | Two smartphones: ・”What if a call came on the smartphone I use during the live performance?” To avoid this situation, one idea is to prepare a second smartphone that does not have a phone line. A second smartphone can be a used one, and the app is compatible with Android 6, which is reasonably priced. - The developer also uses an Android 6 smartphones as a second smartphone for live performances and practice. |
![]() | Use for practice: ・When practicing cover songs or rehearsing using sound sources, you can work on them thoroughly by combining speed changes and partial playback. These settings will be memorized, so no need to set the same setting again next use. ・By turning on Pause Per Track and Repeat, you can easily repeat the practice of a song. ・Partial playback is useful if you've practiced a part of a song many times. Partial playback can be turned on and off with a single button, and when on, Pause Per Track and Repeat are automatically turned on, making it easy to practice repeatedly. ・Since Speed change and Pitch change works independently, you can also practice by changing the key or lower the speed. These parameters are memorized as well. |
![]() | Use as a regular playback player: The app can be used not only as a special playback player for live performances or practice, but also as a normal playback player by turning off Pause Per Track and Repeat functions. You can also use Setlist as playlists, so why not use it as a playback player for everyday use? |
Learning languages
![]() | If you feel that speed of the audio material is too fast, you can slower the speed and listen back carefully. |
![]() | Partial playback is also useful for reading or pronouncing a specific part of an audio track multiple times. |
![]() | You can concentrate on looking for words in the dictionary or rereading the audio material without having to tap the button to stop the playback, when you use Pause Per Track function, because the audio material playback will automatically stop after each block. |
![]() | Repeat allows you to read the same section multiple times. You can also use a combination of Pause Per Track and Repeat. |
Smartphone settings and preparation
![]() | Audio material, songs, tracks, resources, should be available in your smart phone. You can download them via Internet or copy them from PC onto your smart phone. For PC connection, use USB cable and set your smart phone as an external storage, and copy audio resources to Music folder in your smart phone like you do to a USB memory. |
![]() | Follow the intellectual laws and applicable laws associated with audio contents in your country. |
![]() | For connecting with a mixer in a gig place, for example, use a appropriate length cable with 3.5 mm jack one end and phone jack the other end. Smart phone output is typically stereo. A Y-splitter cable with male stereo 3.5 mm jack one end and dual male TS Phone jacks the other end can be a connecting solution. Stereo output, however, may not be necessary. It would be a good idea to consult with a mixing operator in a gig place to prepare the best cable solution. |
